WILL NOT FIT my 2010 Infiniti QX56

Spent 1.5-2 hours taking the engine compartment apart to get to the starter motor. FWIW, the rear intake manifold bolts were hard and then the 2 starter motor bolts were very hard. After disassembling everything, the starter didn't quite fit and I had to reassemble everything using the old starter. We have a general intermittent issue where it clicks but won't launch, but it usually happens after a few tries. Here's the exact problem of where it doesn't fit. The wiring of the solenoid and battery cables varied widely between the OEM and aftermarket versions. First, the OEM has two horizontal bolts on the solenoid and a link that goes to the front of the starter, above where the starter gear spins the motor. This is the connector where you connect the battery cable. In contrast the orientation of the magnet stud is vertical as shown in the pictures and in order for it to fit you will need to route the battery cable to the back of this starter. That's the problem. Like any automaker, they don't use more than they need, and the battery cable can't reach the back of the starter as it's too short. Also there are no links to install the old starter parts to make it work and honestly I wouldn't need to try using MacGyver. Worst of all, there's no way to visually inspect both before getting this far. It seems other QX56 owners have managed to do this but I'm not happy as I wasted a lot of time and energy on nothing. Much luck
