Stronger than I expected. The lid closes well and prevents products from mixing in different sections. I planned on reusing the ones I just put the lettuce in and tossing the ones I reheated some tomato in. There is no need to. Although they're cheap enough that I wouldn't worry about throwing them away, they clean up easily without the weird plastic effect that often ends up on cheap cookware, so I'll definitely use them over and over again. . I ordered 2 ounce plastic cups with lids to put dressing and whatnot and it worked fine. I found that the 3 compartments offer enough space for all my stuff. The two smaller compartments are not the same size, I wasn't sure about that before ordering.
