Very warm for my son in very windy cold weather. They slipped on ice and snow and survived. Impressed so far. Quite a big difference in size between xs and s, but you can always tighten the straps a bit if they are a bit large. My son is 48 inches 52 pounds and wore small. They are big but the straps are tied with an elastic and they are perfect. I'd rather he could use them for a few years than have something he outgrows in a year. Overall a great purchase.
