Perfect OEM replacement thermostat for my 04 Trailblazer LS 4.2L SUV. I had already replaced my original factory installed thermostat with another brand at about 130,000 miles BUT either this unit was faulty or had failed after months of installation so after ruling out other possible causes of code P0128 (engine temp not at operating temperature) soon enough) The only thing left is the thermostat, AGAIN! If you're a DIYer like me, replacing the thermostat on these trucks is NOT the easiest task so I waited to the end to replace the thermostat AGAIN! With this ACDelco OEM unit installed, the car will reach normal operating temperature, the electric fan will turn on at 190 degrees and will no longer receive DTC P0128. Only time will tell, but since the factory has one thermostat per 130,000, that thermostat will outlive me! Rschunimagu.
