My Dell Inspirion laptop speed has improved amazingly. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and don't see why they don't put an SSD in all laptops. The computer turns on and works after about 20 seconds after turning off. The original CD lasted 2-3 minutes. Win10 was updated 5 months ago and the computer started to become very slow. I've found that it's accessing my hard drive frequently and that's causing the problem. I started looking for an SSD, not one of those hybrids. I found this one and chose it over Samsung in part because of the nominal number of writes to the disk. It's meant to last a lifetime. It was surprisingly easy to install if you followed the online instructions (crucial.com). I used a StarTech USB 3.0 cable to a 2.5" SATA III hard drive and software available on the Crucial website to clone my current hard drive. Swapped the drive and plugged it in and it worked with no problems. I would recommend anyone to replace their slow Dell hard drive with this one. It costs $140.
