I'm an engineer and I have a number of USB hubs, but I needed another one for my wife's desk so that she could charge all the myriad of devices which require USB charging ports and don't come with a USB charger. So, my use case is really just to use this for charging only, the power supply provided seems adequate for that purpose. However, one of the manufacturers key features for this USB hub is that you can turn each of the USB ports on and off with a switch and an "active" port is indicated by a small LED light. Well, none of the LEDs on the device I received worked, not a one. The hub is indeed charging the devices, I checked that with several different devices and checked all the ports, they all charge, but there is no LED indicator. While it's unique I suppose that you can turn off each port individually, I personally don't understand the need to do that, perhaps others may have a use. I'm really not impressed with this device, it does work as a charger, but it seems overly complicated for what it actually does and perhaps a bit of quality control before shipment might alleviate shipping products with defects.
