Less than two hours after the visualizer arrived I installed it and started working, testing all the features and reading the wonderfully helpful manual (paper!) that came with it. I experimented to find the best settings and then scanned a 110 page magazine in about 9 minutes. I will be using it to digitize the records of a small church with 180 years of history. The PDF search function works very well. I get flare when scanning glossy documents, but I'm hoping that slightly changing the direction of the light or the angle of the document will reduce it. iCodis X9 exceeds my expectations.
