I had high hopes for these detectors and ordered a set of 3. All three worked well with the test button on the front of the detectors. My husband always checks the detectors for real smoke and fire. He did this with a long Bic lighter. All 3 failed this test. One even started to melt. I encourage everyone to take that extra step to test the detectors. The test button will not save your life if you have a fire. We send back these defective x-sense detectors.
