I bought this hat because I run at least 15 miles a week and need protection from the sun and cold. The hat has a small brim that gives my glasses/sunglasses adequate protection from the sun. The beanie is a bit big for my medium sized head and thick hair, but I'm still happy with how it fits. I like that there is a ponytail hole in the back. There is a flap on the back for extra neck protection on the back. I am very happy with the purchase and am considering ordering for my sister who is my hiking partner.
