STRONG AND BEAUTIFUL for door hardware and locks
I put it on the bottom of the door to keep out any gale force winds that might come up. It has a nice long stance and can be used without the included strike rail if desired. (I only drilled one hole as I need it to be flush with the door.) It's notched so it can be used vertically and won't slide down when not latched. It's durable and attractive. As another reviewer mentioned, the supplied screws are too short for this purpose, so I just grabbed some longer ones from my toolbox. Very happy with this purchase! Female/66 years old
