STRONG AND BEAUTIFUL for door hardware and locks

I put it on the bottom of the door to keep out any gale force winds that might come up. It has a nice long stance and can be used without the included strike rail if desired. (I only drilled one hole as I need it to be flush with the door.) It's notched so it can be used vertically and won't slide down when not latched. It's durable and attractive. As another reviewer mentioned, the supplied screws are too short for this purpose, so I just grabbed some longer ones from my toolbox. Very happy…

HIGH QUALITY DOOR HINGES AND LOCKS

Imitation of other good reviews. This is a high quality, well made clasp with a significant weight. I use it on the front double doors of the house to add some security to an existing door knob lock. The screws that come with the kit are pretty flimsy, but they'll do the trick in most cases. Since I use a deadbolt to secure my front door, I bought some old #9 x 1 inch brass screws at a local hardware store. I had to drill some holes in the latch to use the #9 screws, but it was worth it (I know

Good product in snaps

Very nice fittings. I was specifically looking for a piece of brass because it will be used for a basement door and will often be exposed to moisture. The previous galvanized barrel bolt was rusty. My only comment is that although the body of the item appears to be brass, the screws that accompany this item are NOT brass. At least the body isn't magnetic. On the other hand, although the screws look like brass, they are magnetic. So I used stainless steel screws as the color variation doesn't…
