I have been using this shampoo for years. PHYTO has changed the formulation on its shampoos quite a bit over the years, I’m glad they left this one alone. This shampoo lathers up very well with just a small amount, rinses clean and readies your hair for conditioning treatment. It cleans effectively. It is now labeled as a "clarifying” shampoo, so expect that your hair will be squeaky clean. Some people find that this means it is drying. I disagree. I think subsequent treatments work better if there is no product residue on my hair. Having said that, if you have very dry hair, I would use this once or twice a week. The smell is a bit medicinal. It doesn’t bother me but I can see how some may find it unappealing. I am always trying out new hair products, but this one is a staple that I return to time and again.
