These needle nose pliers really are very long. I'm impressed with the length of the jaws on these pliers, but there's a downside: as the jaws get that long, they become more flexible. It's an easy technique, they're very long and can get deep into small spaces, but they can't apply nearly as much force as shorter pliers. I really like these pliers, but the flexibility of the jaws makes them a specialty tool. Unfortunately, this forces me to look for other, less hard-hitting pliers. Of course, I have to buy a pair of Knipex needle-nose pliers that are a little shorter so that I can always choose the best strength-to-length ratio for the job.
