🔧 KNIPEX Tools Long Nose Pliers with Cutter, Multi-Colour, 8 inches - Efficient and Versatile Hand Tool Review

Very well made and the handles are very comfortable to hold. Not the usual rubber coating, but a harder material. The tool is also well balanced and moderate in weight. The serrated part of the jaws hold up really well, but only time will tell how quickly they dull.

I bought these needle nose pliers after trying Knipex adjustable wrench pliers (see my other review). Expensive compared to store brands but worth it. Materials, comfort, precision - all at the highest level. I'm a dyer and toolmaker, and these are the best.

They were shipped stiff but after 15 minutes of operation they loosened and opened up. I was impressed that the jaws lined up perfectly and after some good use didn't crook like any other pair I've had. The alloy they are made of is very hard. They are worth their price.

I bought this and thought "Made in Germany" stood for high quality. For many years I have been using high-quality, vintage USA instruments that I inherited. When first used to remove the wiring, half of the nose was bent. See image. As a result I used very old needle nose pliers and they didn't bend. upset.

These 8 inch needle nose pliers are manufactured in the well-known Knipex tool quality. The tip is quite thin, I wasn't expecting that, but the cut is very comfortable and even. I recently decided to upgrade my tool kit from Lowe Depot consumer tools to something more permanent and finally ended up with Knipex. Having already changed several tools, I am very satisfied with the quality and craftsmanship. When closed, the teeth sit snugly, there is no lateral play on either side. These needle nose pliers really are very long. I'm impressed with the length of the jaws on these pliers, but there's a downside: as the jaws get that long, they become more flexible. It's an easy technique, they're very long and can get deep into small spaces, but they can't apply nearly as much force as shorter pliers. These Knipex are the best needle nose pliers you can get. When handled and used they appear to be quite substantial. The articulation of the instrument is very smooth. The "needle" is perfectly symmetrical and split down the middle, unlike the $12 set I inspected from a very large supplier of legal knockoffs and junk tools (um, HF). You get what you pay for. As I've gotten older and used many tools over the years, I've found that better quality tools work better and last longer. For me, investing in a better tool costs LESS than a cheaper tool.
