Makes it easy to check current from 120VAC devices
If you're like me you've probably assembled a short cable with plugs and sockets and exposed the conductors by removing the OUTER sheath. Well, a line splitter makes this a lot easier and fits better in a tool box than a short extension cord. Simply plug the device into a power outlet and the plug into a power outlet. Then insert an ammeter into the holes to measure the current flowing to the device. There are X1 and X10 sides, so you can multiply small currents by 10x to better measure them.
