These are great compression socks for running and everyday wear. It's both durable and comfortable. I have lymphedema in my left leg, so I have to wear medical compression stockings on my thigh all day. I wear CEP socks over my left compression garment and my "normal" right leg. I was very pleased with the results - more compression in my "bad" area of the left shin, which resulted in a decrease in swelling in that area and improved blood flow in both my left and right legs. The benefits are particularly noticeable when running, as the socks reduce the feeling of fatigue in the calf muscles caused by the build-up of lactic acid (I think). And my recovery after the run is definitely faster with socks. The socks are so comfortable and barely noticeable that I can wear them all day to work, just going for a walk or walking my dog with the added benefit of improving circulation to the area and reducing fatigue. Just to mention that CEP is made by Medi, the same leading (Germany based) compression company that makes my medical thigh length compression garment for my left leg. Their quality is excellent and they have been making gradient compression garments (higher at the bottom, lower at the top to increase blood flow to the heart) for many years. Tip: To prolong the life of your socks, you can hand wash them in cold water in the sink with Tru-Kleen Compression Liquid Soap. I have used this soap on my Medi medical garments and now I am doing the same with these CEP socks. They lasted quite a long time and retained their hardness.
