Try it out on the HOB filter impeller too!
If you have ever bought a new aquarium filter you know that it takes some time, maybe even weeks, for the noise to go away and the impeller to become even. I tried this on my new Fluval C3 power filter and the noise went away immediately and never came back (1/2 year passed). Great stuff, unfortunately in very, very small quantities (although you won't need that much).
