I bought this kit to replace the spark plugs in my 2005 Toyota Tacoma. Spark plugs are built deep into the heads and require not only an extension at the base, but also special extended range spark plugs. I didn't know how long I had to have an extension to start/finish, so I jumped on set before accepting this project. Also, I don't need to be pushed into buying tools, they ALWAYS come in handy for other projects. metal to prevent rust. There was also a closed cell foam cutout to cushion the tools just in case. The extensions are permanently attached to the bushings to prevent them from separating when working in the tight space of the spark plug and coil pack. Of course, the socket is magnetic so the spark plug you remove or install doesn't fall out. KD Tools is a big name among tools, I have others and they are made in the USA. However, this particular set is made in Taiwan. This is not in the product description and I was disappointed to hear about it. Looking closely at the socket set it looks really well made, I'm just appreciating the tools made here if that's important to you too. In case you're wondering, on my particular project, the 11" extension was perfect for the passenger side of my Tacoma engine. On the driver's side, I had to use an extra extension from my tool kit to empty the expansion tank. This tool kit made removing and installing the plugs a lot easier. I'm sure it shortened my oath time!
