Review on Upgrade Your Audio Experience: EVGA NU Audio Pro Surround Add-On - Lifelike 7.1 Surround Sound, PCIe with Audio Note Design by Jim Reinhardt

My previous sound card was a Sound Blaster X-Fi from circa 2004. It served for many years until it died a few years ago. I tried the Sound Blaster Audigy FX PCIe 5.1 in 2017, but unfortunately it never quite matched my old X-Fi. I went back to my motherboard's onboard sound and have been striving for better sound for years. When this card was announced I was very excited, but my wallet wasn't quite ready yet. I finally took the plunge and I can officially say it's amazing. The sound is crystal clear and delivers a lot more power than I'm used to. It sounded a bit flat at first but I changed the EQ settings on the picture above and it made a huge difference. Installation - Installation was very easy, but this card requires a SATA power cable which I had to unplug. one of my hard drives, so be aware of that. I ordered a different cable so it's just a minor inconvenience. I downloaded the driver directly from EVGA (surprisingly 8MB) and it installed in a few minutes. Right after that everything worked. My setup - I'm using Klipsch RP-160M bookshelf speakers with a Klipsch Reference R-10SW 10" 300W powered subwoofer. I hooked them up to an old Pioneer receiver (which might be the bottleneck at the moment). Me am using a spdif/optical cable to connect my nu sound card to the receiver windows 10 i have been listening to various audio files my receiver is not receiving 192kHz but it is receiving 96kHz and i can tell it sounds very good i could always tell a little difference between 44kHz FLAC and MP3 but now it's a difference between day and night. Overall it sounds amazing. I've been waiting for another high quality sound card for a very long time and now it's finally here I believe not that I've ever been happier with a purchase.
