**UPDATE** He died after 7 months. Just beeps and flashes red"problem" triangle. It was nice while it lasted. I love vacuuming - it calms me down. I have 8 vacuums and they are all used for different jobs. This is my third robot vacuum, the others are Eufy and Roomba. Roomba is quite old and only really cleans 1 room. The Eufy initially worked well, but after a year or so it started to lose suction and the Wi-Fi connectivity was gone - so now it's a one-room vacuum. I was really looking forward to trying the Shark ION AV751 robot vacuum as it has great reviews and a comparable price. It was well packaged and easy to assemble. The front wipers simply snap into place - no tools required. It arrived about half charged so I charged it fully before using it. I started testing on my first floor which is fully tiled. He looked up from the charger and happily went to clean. However, it was too quiet. I thought I might have left plastic wrappers in the bin blocking the fan etc. no Nothing. Everything is clear and ready to go. So I started it up again and let it run for about 30 minutes before checking the dust bin just to make sure it was really cleaning. The tank is already half full! This thing is really quiet compared to other devices I have - and it does a great job of cleaning! I tested it on a carpeted second floor, and it worked even better — filling the trash can long before the battery died. I have a CatGenie and cats leave pellets everywhere and he did a great job picking them up. At the moment this vacuum cleaner is a champion! The only downside of this device is the app - it connects randomly and is unreliable. Also, it's difficult to connect to Alexa and Google (at least for me). It took me about 30 minutes to play around with the Google Home settings to get it working. However, after connecting I had no problems and the service seems more reliable than the app. Overall, I highly recommend this robot vacuum, especially at this price point!
