This pump was a near perfect replacement for the stock full pump on the B2 (1984-1987) Audi 4000 Quattro. The only problem is that the fuel line inlet flange is slightly larger than the original. The original is about 1/2" in diameter, but this pump is 9/16 or larger. I had to get a short length of 5/8" fuel line and an adapter so I could connect to the fuel line from the primary fuel filter. After that, installation was easy and the pump runs well and quietly.
