Great for printers so far

Even though I've only had it a week I had to write a review on this printer because I'm very impressed with the print quality. I am selling my work as greeting cards and needed something to replace my fiendish Epson WF-3640 printer/scanner. To be clear I just wanted to buy a printer as the scanner is fine on my Epson. I've spent hundreds of dollars on time and ink cartridges trying to get this printer working for the last 18 months and finally gave up. This is TERRIBLE and I will never buy an Epson printer again. I chose this Canon Pixma iX6820 because it has had good reviews in the art world and on Revain. I looked at other Canon printers but couldn't spend more than $150 so it was within budget. INSTALLATION: Relatively easy. I had to download the installation files twice before I could run the programs, but once installed it took about an hour at most. WIFI CONNECTION: not so easy. Haven't figured that out yet. It would be nice if I had a wireless connection, but since my printer is right next to my computer, not having that feature doesn't bother me. I've never had much luck with printer and Wi-Fi connectivity to be honest. PRINT QUALITY: Surprisingly good. I still get the perfect print settings as I mostly work in watercolor, pen and ink. Watercolor is difficult to reproduce accurately. However, I have already printed better and more color-accurate prints on PLAIN PAPER with this printer than ever before with the very expensive photo paper from Epson. EASY TO USE: I haven't used My Photo Garden or whatever it's called, and you don't need to use it when printing. It's just an additional print formatting option. I've had no trouble printing directly from Photoshop, from PDF, or from the default Windows photo viewer. INK USAGE: Can't say for sure yet as it's only been a week, but the cartridges that came with it were easy to install. (not messy or complex as I've read in some reviews) and still shows full layers after making about 15 high quality full page prints as well as various smaller trials. I will update this review if anything changes. UPDATE 1 MONTH LATER: I'm still impressed. The ink cartridge life is long compared to my old Epson. I only have two problems: It's a pretty slow printer. It takes approximately 15 minutes to print 25 full-color 8.5 x 11 photo documents. But it is quiet and the quality is great. Another problem is that the wireless connection is still not working. Since my computer is always near the printer, this isn't a big deal for me, but for those who need wireless printing capability, allow some time for tech support if the setup doesn't go smoothly on its own. I haven't gotten to that yet.
