Hey Canon, the 80's want their wireless technology back.

I want to love this printer, but it's been a week since I connected it to the wireless network. Everything is fine when I connect it to my computer, but I don't want it to connect directly to my computer. I'm sure millions of people have installed this with no problem and I must be just incompetent. If it were true I've set up countless devices to connect to my wireless network. A bit finicky at times, but this is something else entirely. The utility that helps you just directs you to the…

Great for printers so far

Even though I've only had it a week I had to write a review on this printer because I'm very impressed with the print quality. I am selling my work as greeting cards and needed something to replace my fiendish Epson WF-3640 printer/scanner. To be clear I just wanted to buy a printer as the scanner is fine on my Epson. I've spent hundreds of dollars on time and ink cartridges trying to get this printer working for the last 18 months and finally gave up. This is TERRIBLE and I will never buy an…

Best value large format printer

I bought the iX6820 as a workhorse to take my impressive Canon Pro-100 off 'work duties' and turn it back into a hobby. I'll spend half the time and $ tanking iX vs Pro-100. The iX is also fairly quiet compared to the previous Canon Pixma printers I've owned, although not as quiet as the near-silent Pro-100. Thanks to the large printhead, print speeds are extremely fast in "Standard" mode, while still delivering excellent quality for small business presentations on heavier media. The High…

Oh yeah. not equal! in inkjet printers

Ordered on the 20th - received on the 30th - I think you know I'm a Prime member now! I set up and printed 4 images 8x10 with no borders. Totally beautiful beautiful! Then I received a photo 13x19 semi-gloss and this morning - 4/7 - I printed the first 13x19 - WITHOUT LIMITS! And again absolute beauty! I don't have a magnifying glass so I look at the picture like a normal person - oh geeee. I showed it to a few other people and they loved it - couldn't believe I typed it myself. I explained…

Good printer, however. for printers

My rating is ambiguous. I bought my first Pixma ix6820 about 1.5 years ago. The black print has deteriorated. Tried everything. Not good. I love and trust Canon products and thought the first was an accident. So I ordered another one and kept the first one for spares. The second (the subject of this review) worked flawlessly for about a month. Then even black people started to print badly on it. I called tech support, we tried everything. We ended up having to remove and reinstall the…

All printers suck, but this one sucks.

I will buy a second one. I used this printer hard for about 14 months. It worked great. Beautiful, detailed prints, good enough for a shop that sells my art. Suddenly, black people stopped typing normally. They looked faded, with stripes. I spent about 3 days trying everything under the sun to get it working again. Head cleaning, centering, roller cleaning. Reinstallation of the driver. I even removed the print head and cleaned it by hand. Nothing will get the printer working again. I was…

Takes ALL types of documents! Works great with the Silhouette Cameo!

I have a Silhouette Cameo vinyl cutter and use LOTS of different papers in it. At least before! Then our old printer would no longer print on cardboard and could no longer print on kraft paper. I have searched for printers several times over the years. No more printing without replacing every ink cartridge, I've had enough. I stopped putting money in the printer which was complete garbage. Turn on PIXMA! This article is the best! I've used it on vellum, thick paper, photo paper and thermal…
