I gave this product 5 stars because it works the way it's supposed to work. But the most important thing is that I couldn't find anything to compete with this item and it's so convenient. I connected it to my computer, scanner, external drive and speakers so I can turn them all on and off with one switch. I need to turn on the computer, but the speakers and scanner turn on with the main power switch as long as I leave the switch on the Element on. I can say that for people who only read emails and surf the Internet from a laptop, this element is not needed. However, if you use your computer with other peripherals and want them to turn on at the same time as the computer, this is a great addition to such a system. Each of the switches has labels: Master, Printer, Aux1, Aux2. I have my computer connected to the master but no printers connected to this unit because my wife uses the main laser printer over wi-fi and sometimes Tripp Lite can be turned off so she can just turn the printer on over wi-fi. /o My system is powered on.
