I'm a hobby welder so I don't know what all the pros wear but this helped me. I had an unfortunate and painful experience crouching welding without an apron, and I learned that sparks on the knees require more than work pants. Sitting/dropping out and otherwise turning in weird positions to weld under truck bodies etc. - The material feels strong enough without being too heavy. - The strap is quite nice, it goes over the shoulders and not just through the neck. - Lots of pockets. Sometimes I lose my pencil. Fur: - The belt doesn't adjust very thin, so it will always hang out a bit on me. Maybe all welder's aprons are like that, I don't know. - Why D-rings? They just cling to things, I'm thinking of cutting them off. Overall I think this is a decent price for a fairly durable welding apron with plenty of pocket options.
