I’m a DIY-er and this set up is a little different then what I’ve installed before. The valve is encased in clear plastic and the tabs that are used to mount this valve is part of the encasing. I was afraid to tighten too much because the tabs looked as though they’d break right off. The valve is color coded (hot - red and cold - blue) but it is backwards. I found this out after my tile was installed which sucks cause I could have reversed the lines if I had known. But for hot water you need to put the lever to the cold position and vise versa. Oh and the male threaded ends on the wand and shower head is not a normal brass nipple. One end is 1/2” male thread to thread in your supply line and the other side of the nipple has 3 O-rings and locks in place by 2 set screws, so no being able to just put a little longer nipple on to reach the supply lines. A female to male extension was needed for my job which was difficult to find.
