I don't usually think twice before buying an OXO product, but now I will. Grooves are unnecessary and difficult to clean. The numbers would also be easier to read if they were a little bigger and bolder. The most disappointing thing was that I knocked it off the counter and it broke; It's made of cheap plastic. I contacted the company twice and nobody answered. Oh good. Edited 12/7: I received an email from Oxo offering a free replacement, although accidental breakage/damage is not covered under warranty. Appreciate this offer but will return to Pampered Chef for this device.
