Works great on rough plumbing

Don't buy this for gas magazines Bought for use with gas magazines maybe that's bad. However, the pilot light was too fast for such an operation, consuming a large tank of propane in a week! Use for water heater ONLY.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Weight

Works perfectly. for water heater parts

If you are looking for this type of pilot then this is what you want to get. It works great and suits most settings. However, depending on your setup, you might need to get the right attachments, but other than that, everything works as expected.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Not everything fits

You get what you pay for. NO IGNITION FOR GAS LINE

Annoying is the fact that there is no place for an ignition. The gas line came loose when I tightened it with a box wrench. It's very cheap and you get what you pay for. When installing this make sure you get it right the first time because if you don't it will literally fall apart in your hands.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

I only gave three stars because the aluminum gas line from the valve to the pilot itself is very thin and can easily break or kink if you are not a technician or unfamiliar with small bore system gas supply lines . When I say small and fine, I mean the outside diameter is 1/8 inch using standard English measurements where 12 inches (in) = 1 foot (ft).

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure

It's cheap and good when it fits. I prefer 1/4 " tubing.

As the product description states, it fits many water heaters, but not all. The thermocouple and pilot tube thread perfectly into my old water heater valve. However, it cannot be installed in the correct position on the main burner without modification. The pilot tube OD is 1/8". It is very delicate. I would say 1/4" hoses could be much stronger and more acceptable even if they are more expensive.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Not what is advertised

You can see that the photos in the advertisement do not reflect the actual size of the product. It's not a coincidence! When the package finally arrives and your family hasn't had hot water for days, you realize you've just bought a product that looks more like a toy than something you're about to install in your water heater. So it's a waste of time and money. I'll send it back right away. Buyer Warning! Cheap is cheap.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • dull packaging
