The light itself is pleasant. However, it wasn't easy for this first timer to settle down. I suppose if you knew something about it, it would all be very simple. Let me explain my "cleaning nightmare" comment. The backlight itself is VERY difficult to use as it sits deep within the glass. The little "tool" they give you is a suction cup that attaches to the light fixture and it didn't work. Now let's talk about the beautiful glass - there are two layers and 12 "pins" for four lights. These pins must be inserted and screwed into the holes. It is very tiring. I use this light in my kitchen and I noticed that to clean the glass in the future I would have to take out the bulbs (because they have to come out to remove the glass), then unscrew the 12 pins, wash the 8 pieces of glass (inner and outer layer) and then pray I can put it all back together without losing or dropping anything. See it's a nightmare!
