Wrong gauge for gauges
wire is fine if you really need 18 ga brass wire. Hillman now reports 18ga as 16ga wire. I've been using Hillman 16ga brass wire for a long time and just ran out and am so disappointed in the replacement. I also use 16ga silver wire so I have a comparison. Hillman is thinner. New packaging is key to what you receive. New packaging = 18ga.
