My thought before I bought it "Knee braces, just a gimmick." But now that I wear them, I wear them all day, every day. I can't believe how well I get along with them. Before I bought this I had trouble going into the garden, going up and down stairs and walking around. I bought one to try and about a week later I bought another one. The knee pads really helped. I don't know why, I don't have any scientific evidence to support or refute my experience, I just know it works for me. I don't think I'll be running up and down stairs any time soon, but now I can definitely walk up and down them like I used to without too much effort.
