Keep the sun and wind away
I have dry eyes which makes walking in wind a problem. Besides shading me from sun this hat helps a great deal with the wind issue. Love the purple color, and fits nice. When it is cold (40s-50s) I can still wear a beanie under it which you don't see and still able to keep my eyes away from the wind. This is the first time trying this type of hat for my walks. Normally I wear a baseball cap with UV protection. FYI the brim does not come flat like the picture. I highly recommend.
