I bought two of these for my plants. I put a timer on the lamp to turn it on 18 hours a day. After 5 months and 3 days, a lightbulb died. I thought it would last 12,000 hours. I have about 20 different CFL bulbs. All other lamps will never burn out after 1 year use based on 18 hours per day.
