I have a SurfacePro 4 laptop, and as a real estate agent, I needed the extra "real estate" to work with multiple screens for research, have a PC phone on, and multitask without having to learn tons of hotkeys. It was a pain in the ass. I had a couple of 27 inch monitors when I was working outside the office and I really missed them. It's crisp, the colors look good and it was very bright out of the box. I made a few changes and now it's perfect. The text is crisp and clear. Maps and satellite images look great. The included monitor stand is very versatile. The monitor can be tilted and leveled up and down with the shockproof stand. Once installed, it doesn't move at all. I can also adjust the height of the monitor perfectly to eye level. hold it directly over my laptop screen so I can see all screens in full. From a seated position it will be quite tall, so if you have a standing desk it may work for you without additional brackets or VESA mounts. It all depends on the space you need. My only complaint is that it has an anti-reflective G coating that I almost tried to peel off. The top 2 corners are a bit loose and I thought it was protective shipping film. After some internet research, it looks like it should stay. It probably needs a bit better quality control to make sure it's flush, but that's not in the picture and not a problem. I didn't have any problems with the anti-reflective coating between the foil and the curve, even when the light behind me was switched on. I don't use a monitor for gaming, so I can't comment on that. I didn't notice any "artifacts" like cracking, bleeding, missing pixels, or other common issues that can be associated with flat panel displays or TVs. I will say one thing, the black levels are pretty damn good. The blank monitor is pretty black, and since I use a black/dark theme for my browser and office products, I often lose edges when I need to drag a window. I haven't tried LG's virtual dual monitor software. which binds open windows to a configuration. Usually I just install and everything is fine. When my laptop goes to sleep or shuts down, it remembers where everything is. One thing that has happened a few times is that the Mini DisplayPort connector loses connection every once in a while and then all the windows shrink onto the laptop and I have to pull them all back back. In terms of size, the 34-inch is pretty much perfect. . The dual 27-inch screen takes up a lot more space, and you have a gap in the middle that can be bypassed. There's also no noticeable seam down the middle of this thing. I've seen this comment about some of the other cheaper monitors that have been priced from Revain. I've had good success with LG products, so I'm glad I spent a little more money on it. If you use it primarily for work and not gaming, I'd say it strikes a great balance of value, performance, and quality. LG makes several ultra-wide models that cost over $1,000, and I've spent a lot of time researching the specs to compare. If you don't need higher performance with ultra-low response times and can output at over 60Hz, this monitor is all you need. LG includes a USB-C and an HDMI cable in the box.
