This particular laptop (Ryzen 5 3500U 2100MHz / 16GB / 256GB SSD / Windows 10 Home) was purchased by me as a "workhorse" for use in both my professional and academic endeavors, with a savings account for the future. Because of the nature of my work, I frequently need to transport my laptop. The presence of a digital keypad was the determining factor. There are indications on the Caps lock button and the F6 (mute) button on the keyboard; however, there is no indicator on the Num lock button, which can be somewhat unpleasant at times. The enclosure is made entirely of plastic, has an incredibly flimsy appearance, and, in addition, it plays adequately under the digital display. The sound coming from the speakers is quite loud; in fact, when turned up to a very high volume, it can make the cabinet shake, but I don't keep it at that level. Both USB ports are positioned on the same side, and while it is feasible to connect a mouse transmitter to one of the ports, it is not possible to physically connect a USB flash drive to the other port. One of the unwelcome discoveries was that Bluetooth behaves in a very peculiar manner. If the audio or video is not playing, the headphones are incessantly disconnected and reconnected; moreover, it is not possible to connect them while they are in standby mode. The fan rotates practically nonstop and picks up speed significantly only when there are obvious overloads. There is absolutely no buildup of heat on the laptop. The color temperature of the screen initially gave off an unsettling impression (with a clear leaning toward the warmer end of the temperature spectrum), but the problem was fixed by adjusting the settings in the AMD management application. In general, the laptop is powerful, manages its responsibilities admirably (three to four desktops, a large number of browser tabs, and a number of office programs), basically does not make any noise, loads quickly, and functions effectively. For this amount of money and with these attributes, you will have a difficult time finding something comparable; therefore, I can recommend a laptop; nevertheless, you should pay attention to the drawbacks because they may be essential to someone.
