The remote will search for codes and beep to indicate connection; I found code 0259 to work great for my devices. I was able to turn the time on and off with no problem. A tip: Make sure the remote control is pointed at the device. My device is 2.5m off the floor, so the remote needs to be facing up and not resting on the coffee table. I bought a second remote control for my other Pioneer WS air conditioner. I am very happy with the remote control, especially at a great price.
