Absolutely Terrible

No matter how hard you try. No matter how you do it, the base of the hose will NOT go into the top of the cap. This, of course, renders the entire humidifier completely useless. The instructions are more than adequate and if you look at my second photo - I don't know what it is or what it's for. It doesn't fit anywhere. Now I have to solve the problem of sending the thing back. SMS
