Review on 🍼 Organic Lactose Relief Toddler Formula – Baby's Only, 12.7oz Can by Mariah Garrett

I'm not a big organic fanatic. But I have tried many formulas for my daughter. After being unable to breastfeed due to her lactose sensitivity, I had to switch to infant formula. We switched straight to soy but it didn't take long as I know soy is not good for kids and hasn't had good results. She was very captivated and the gas was terrible too. Then we went to Similac Sensitive. She started spitting up a lot. More than a child should normally spit out. So I started mixing Sensitive with Similac for burping. It helped some, but mostly the saliva was curdled. After reading a Facebook post about GMOs in formulas and hexane, I did my research and decided organic is a must. I was looking for a mix and found Baby's Only. I had reservations because the jar is labeled baby food. Please don't let this affect you. It satisfies all baby's needs and then some. Nature's One is a supporter of breastfeeding, which is why this formula is called infant formula. It is non-GMO and the only lactose-free, organic milk-based formula on the market. It contains soy, but all formulas contain soy, and this formula only contains soybean oil and lecithin (sp?). It does not contain DHA and ARA, but does contain other fatty acids that the body converts into DHA and ARA. Nature's One also makes an organic, non-GMO dietary supplement if you'd like to add one to your formula. It also doesn't contain any probiotics (unless I missed it somewhere). I've already been giving my daughter extra probiotics for digestion and immune support, so that didn't affect me either. A while ago there was an arsenic scandal involving brown rice syrup. Brown rice naturally contains arsenic. Nature's One has filtered the syrup to contain undetectable levels of arsenic. Do not worry. How is my daughter doing with the formula? She is 3 months old. My daughter has been taking this formula for a week. The burping has returned to the normal amount (less than a teaspoon per meal) that a liquid-fed infant should have. She had always been a happy child, but even happier now. It has significantly reduced gas production. She normally sleeps through the night but woke up earlier with gas, which also went away. She likes the taste and burps more easily now, which used to be difficult. She also had nasal congestion for about 4 weeks which I think could be due to an allergy to corn or some toxin in Similac which also cleared up. This formula looks darker and thicker than Similac. It smells a lot better and tastes a lot better (yes, I've tried it). Her saliva doesn't have a strong odor but it's darker than before, but I haven't had any staining issues, we use bibs and they don't stain either. Her stools are more formed than before, but some constipation and formed stools are normal when formula is changed. A can of this mix will usually last about 3 1/2 days. She eats 6-4 ounce bottles a day. Just to give you an idea of how many ounces you get from a can. Here it is. i am a believer I'm so happy I finally found a formula that I'm happy to give her and makes her feel better too. I will update in a few weeks. 08/07/2013 - Still very happy with this formula. But my daughter has hard bowel movements. I added some prune juice and it helped. 10/23/2013 - Still very happy with the formula. We still have some issues with hard stools, but I'll take it upon myself if one day she ingests harmful toxins! She is now 6 months old and doing great! Her pediatrician even remarked on how beautiful her skin was (she had eczema) and how well she was growing and not overweight. I still swear by this formula and if I have another baby and can't breastfeed we will be using it again.
