The first ones I got were too short from toe to heel and my last shoe (NIKE) was an 8 so I had to return it and got it 8.5 2E because they also felt a bit narrow in width. Maybe they are a bit small and tight and you should take half a size bigger. I loved that I could send them back to Amazon for free and they replaced my 8 with an 8.5 :) I have flat feet so I even ordered this style and now that I'm the right size they feel great on. I definitely recommend them for people with flat feet. I liked them so much I ordered a second pair to change everyday. My only regret is that I was only able to choose one color in my size and width and I would like my second pair in one color. a different color but I think I end up preferring comfort over style. I run about 6 miles a day in them and so far they feel pretty good and still waiting for my second pair :)
