Good pants but not what I wanted

These are really good pants and look very well tailored although I wouldn't call them 'fitted'. My girlfriend wanted me to buy skinny leather pants for the club as she obviously likes my thighs. These pants are more like motorcycle leather, they are thick and tend to be quite loose so not what I was looking for. Can't speak to durability since I sent them back but they seem very well made and look heavy enough to offer protection from road rash. I followed the reviewers advice on sizing and I have to say I disagree. I usually wear size 32 pants (sometimes 33, 34 is always loose). To be honest, I find the standard size flattering for me because I measured my "waist" at both the narrowest part and where I wear the pants closest to my hips. The actual circumference is 35 inches (my girlfriend didn't believe this and she measured it to be 36 inches!). I'm 5ft 9in, 170# and wear a 32W 34L in a Levis 501. So if I'm looking for skinny pants I would order a 32 and order a 34 instead based on the advice here. These 34 fit just like me. I would have expected a size 34 to fit. That's 1-2 inches of space at the waist. Also, I have very athletic and fairly muscular hips and these pants were quite roomy in that area and not at all tight. Waist 32, waist 34 will be loose. This could be just what you're looking for if you want to drape your leg over your bike or wear leggings or long johns underneath when riding in cold weather. Trousers. And great length with a neatly trimmed butt. You will need to cut and/or hem them to length. I think you will need a leather sewing machine or tailor for this as the material is essential. I will update this to check when and if my return has been satisfactorily processed.
