Average purchase, there is something to complain about.
Yes, I fell for the "promoted" reviews and decided that Mikrotik is good hardware, but in reality it's just toys for "geeks" and well-fed system administrators who were lured into this sect by developers from Latvia. In fairness, I will supplement the review, otherwise the witnesses of the sect of St. Mikrotik are unhappy. After some time, I managed to pick up the settings that still work, plus apparently the improvement of the firmware had an effect, as well as experiments with the orientation of the access point. In general, it works, I almost forgot about it. However, I can't imagine how ordinary users will mess with this after the purchase.
- The price is very inexpensive, compact, you can just hang it by the wire (if you attach a separate power supply, it is also quite compact). The router management console, from which admins usually get excited.
- The call quality is, to put it mildly, disappointing. A well-known and unsolvable problem with Apple products for years is constant Wi-Fi dumps. Yes, I am aware that SOMETIMES this can be solved, but I have not seen a solution for 2.4Ghz. All parameters have been tried in a circle and it is useless. Yes, many parameters can be changed in the console, but in fact there is almost no sense from this, just visual useless garbage. Another point - the quality of communication is much worse than cheap routers 10 years ago - on other devices, for example, Android. Inexplicable brakes, although the signal strength is sufficient. Yes, maybe this is a clogged 2.4Ghz range, but the previous router did not behave like that.
