MAXI CLEAN in the smallest of spaces. Simple and portable

This unit is way better than my local jewelry store and I didn't have to drive to clean the rings. Before ordering, I thought about what I think are the most important features, thought I needed a fully removable lid, removable cord, largest bowl and smallest footprint, deepest well. Very glad I did! This rectangular white ultrasonic cleaner really ticks all of my boxes. Easily packs away in minimal storage space, looks beautiful on the counter, holds lots of cleaning items. So far I've cleaned: Toothbrushes (manual and electric toothbrush heads), razor blades and multi-blade pens, coins, rings, bracelets, intricate chains and necklaces (no beads), silverware from Goodwill Hauls (still needs polishing for silver). ), inexpensive drugstore readers (husband was surprised how clean they are!), and those tiny salt shakers for a gourmet dinner! I fill the basket, put it in the car, add water to cover the items without lowering the max waterline, add a few drops of Dawn to the water, set the timer and go! It's fun to watch the tiny bubbles churn up the water and watch the dirt mist rise. I put a lid on to make sure nothing escapes (HA) and it turns off when the time is up. Since the instructions mention less power available when using the basket, I set the time higher. If my item is too big for the basket, I can hang string, twist a tie or plastic wrap for a handle, and use a lid to prevent it from falling off like a string of tea bags. Using this device I realized that I thought I shouldn't put my fingers in the solution to scoop out the cleaned items like I was using a chemical cleaner! It's just dishwashing liquid! However, I REALLY read not to go in while it's emitting those ultrasonic vibrations, so I'm waiting for it to shut off. I probably won't get killed, but I'll need those fingers for a few more years. As for the noise level, I have sensitive hearing, but the pitch and decibel level cause no complaints. It's like my electric toothbrush, quieter than my water toothbrush. You know, all brands of ultrasonic cleaners require a cool down period after heavy use, but I only run mine for the required amount of time and turn it off when the time is up. If I go back and check if the cleaning is correct, the machine is cold enough to reset. It's really hard not to watch the grime magically float away, but try stepping aside, letting it sink in a little and cooling off a bit between servings. What about kids using it? I would say fine with adult supervision. power cable and water. Not great for kids (and a few adults I know). The manufacturer recommends washing and wiping the basin after each use (I rinse with clean water and dry with a paper towel). The shiny metal interior stays beautiful. Loose dirt can dry out and scar the surface if not washed off. For the money it is great value for money and I am very satisfied.
