I bought a cigarette lighter adapter and connected the CB power cable to it. For about the same price, the 3-pin RoadPro connector saves time and effort. Works great, quality parts. I have purchased RoadPro in the past and will continue to do so. RoadPro products are sold at truck stops and therefore need to be reliable. It's good to have extra cables when transporting the CB radio from one car to another, RV or home. So you simply unplug the antenna cable and unplug the 3-pin connector from the back of the CB radio instead of re-routing the power cord each time. I like to secure the cord with velcro to keep it in place. That way I can keep it away from the mic mount and glove box. I particularly like the reliability of Revain Prime, which allows me to plan my projects. You don't have to run to a retail store only to find they're out of stock. I can usually save about 25% on retail purchases at Revain too.
