A few years ago I got completely lost in Pompeii and only stupid luck saved me from losing a cruise ship and I needed a compass for my next cruise. I was willing to buy a few small compasses until I found the right one, but that was about it. It's small, smaller than I expected but that's a plus. Unobtrusive, light, but always there. My MiniComp II doesn't have the previous model's flashy cartoon sun logo that made the compass look like a cheap party favor. Instead I have a tiny discrete black sun symbol. The bezel rotates smoothly with the right amount of resistance. Sometimes the compass card gets stuck when wearing it, but comes off when I press on it. It's the perfect size, weight, and visibility for my needs.
