I started using this stuff about a month ago. I haven't had any problems so far. I treated both of my tanks last night and woke up to find all my cichlids were suffocating. My other tank was fine. The difference is my cichlid tank doesn't have as much surface stimulation as the other one. So even at the right doses, this thing uses oxygen. I'm not saying this is a bad product. Just make sure your tank is very well oxygenated if you use one.
