I used to embroider a lot with a counted cross and needles. As a rule, I used my own sewing scissors instead of special needlework scissors. By that I mean I used what was available rather than the right pair. Both scissors are of excellent quality and quite sharp. They definitely look vintage and I even have crane scissors in my sewing box. Of course they are not as sharp as these. It's hard to decide which pair I like more, but I can say that I like both for different reasons. Both are made of high quality stainless steel. Due to their composition, they are inherently resistant to corrosion. I've tried them both on fabric and was impressed with the ease with which they cut the fabric. They come in handy packaging, but if someone wants to put them in a small box, they become a perfect gift. I love these little scissors!
