I first used this product about 3 years ago when I moved into my home. The opener began to work much softer and quieter. We use the garage door a lot as we park two cars and the kids use it as a front door because of the keypad. The noise will gradually return after about 6 months when the screw is clogged. About a year ago my local hardware store stopped selling Genie products so I decided to buy one of the aerosol lubes. Spray lubricants are completely inferior in every respect. Dirty, still noisy, not least. I'm glad I went to Revain to buy Genie brand lube and it will be the only product I will be using with my opener in the future.
