Here are a few things I would like to share

Here are a few things I would like to share:1. This cage is not heavy. If you're used to a larger birdcage, this one will sound like a dream come true, lol. Still, it's small enough that it's not impractical to carry around during a short walk. I personally find the image of this cage with an eclectus on top to advertise a product misleading. I have a 7 month old Umbrella Cockatoo (so she's probably a hair smaller than your average eclectus) and I'm worried about putting her in there. Another review said it was perfect for their Umbrella Cockatoo and I doubt that person's judgment. If it's just going back and forth and the bird spends a lot of time outside the cage, I think you're fine. For us, Lucy is leaving the state for the holidays with our relatives, and she will probably have to spend 60-70% of the day in a cage. She barely has enough room to turn around, let alone flap her wings (don't even try, Missy!). In the second, third, and fifth photos, she's just dangling in or around him to give you an idea of the size. Note that in these photos the shells are not installed and take up a lot of space. Some reluctantly noted that they thought the rope pole was an afterthought. I love rope perch! To be honest they shouldn't have given it to me at all and the quality isn't bad so I'll take it! It's probably not enough for Lucy's legs, but it's only for a few days so she'll have to be patient. Yes, the instructions are not excellent, but no, to collect all this you do not need a degree in civil engineering. I have business partners and everything is fine with me. THAT for me personally the bowl holders were like an attempt to solve the riddle of the Rubik's Cube for a hot minute. Tip: Insert both legs into the holes on one side before attempting to insert the other two legs on the other side. It's MUCH easier that way. I'm sure the problems are individual with each cell, but the problems for me personally can be seen in the photos below. All of them are "fixed" with a few hammer blows and some critical thinking skills. From the first few photos you can see that the food/water bowl door latch is not long enough to reach the end where it latches. I just have to plug the hole so it bends closer, or I can remove the handle and just move the slider and then reattach the handle so it can't move left or right. In the fourth picture you can see there was no spring in my package as apparently it should have been on the lever that keeps the grate from slipping out. No big deal, I just got by without it. Figure 6 shows where the bar "attaches" to the cage by pressing on these two screws that came pre-installed on the cage. It says it "snaps" when clicked, but that's not the case for me. Won't give in. Also says you can use the bar as a handle. Will NOT do it either. It's not strong enough. Figure 7 shows the mentioned problem with the Rubik's Cube. You may be able to see where the top leg is already inserted into the hole, but I'm pointing to the bottom leg, which isn't where it should be at all. The last picture shows where I hold the top of the cage a bit. Does it have "legs" that slide into the rest of the cage, which works fine but isn't safe? In this picture I literally lifted him up a bit and he has moved away from his resting spot (I pray Lucy wasn't watching while I did this or we're done!). If you have a large bird that likes to run away, buy some padlocks to hang the top bars of this cage. Would I buy this cage again? .hm.ask me after the holidays when I should put it into practice. If I had to guess, my answer would be yes, as long as I know I get to spend a lot of time with her outside of the cage. To make things easier for her, I bought a lot of "birdie" toys that not only fit better in this cage, but were cheaper and she could tear them apart easily, which would keep her busy and happy. And since they were so cheap I could afford to buy some to film our trip. Anyway, I hope this helps! Good luck with your decision!
