I've had one for a few months now and we have loads of them! I first bought a Home Depot ceiling fan with Quiet Technology Plus. It was difficult to install, and squeezing the remote receiver into the fan housing was inconvenient. Unfortunately after all this work it buzzed and wobbled so I sent it back. I've been researching DC motor technology for a while and they seemed expensive, but since "silence" was a priority I took the leap of faith and paid another $100 to get these. I'm so glad I did. lightweight, easy to install and the receiver is built into the fan motor - no extra wires. The fan motor itself is completely silent. The only sound is the sound of the wind blowing air moving off the wings, which I find very soothing (especially with my tinnitus). Stop being cheap (like me). For the price, and they can be expensive, this is a good deal. It has 2 LEDs that can be dimmed and are very easy to replace if you live that long. The motor has 6 speeds (forward and reverse).Remote control works great.Even if you don't get this, if you don't care about a noise motor, at least pay a little more and get a fan with new DC motor technology.
