I ordered the coffee one which includes the loop in the middle for a pen. This loop is the product's biggest flaw. For one it won't hold the Lamy Safari that I carry with me every day, so I end up having to keep it in my pocket separately. But that isn't the only reason why I'm not fond of the loop. When trying to write on the back of a page with it folded over to the left side, over the rather stiff leather loop, there is a very noticeable bump that makes it very awkward to write. I have another 5.5 x 3.5 notebook cover that doesn't have this sort of loop, has much higher quality better looking leather, $9 cheaper, holds 3 notebooks, is about a half inch thinner width wise and therefore easier to fit in my back pocket, and doesn't have this annoying loop. I think that I'm going to get rid of this notebook and go back to my other one. Needless to say I'm pretty disappointed with this product and I wouldn't recommend it. I can't vouch for the other color that doesn't have the loop, but if I had to recommend a notebook cover to anyone it would be the one that I currently own which is the "Pocket Travelers Notebook" by September Leather.
